The first Lords Meeting in the reign of King Brynn and Queen Eleanor

 Tenth Day of Maimonath 1045

Transcript of the Queens Speech:

 My Lords and Ladies,

On this the tenth day of Maimonath, on the tenth day of the reign of the Dragon King,

Brynn Ap Gefyn in the year 1045, I welcome you to the Royal Court.

It is with sadness that I must announce that King Brynn is unable to join us this evening

as he is investigating the sudden disappearance of Justin Breggan with a portion

of our Royal ships.  This is not the behaviour one would expect from the man who has

ruled over our country as King for the last six years.

King Brynn has asked me to preside over this gathering in his name and make

known his first command as King.

The five great families I see before me have been at the heart of our country and

the lives of our people throughout its history, and as loyalists, you share with your

forebears a fundamental role in the laws and decisions of your own age. As such,

King Brynn has decided to reinstate the powers of the nobility within designated

areas of the land, and I have the honour to announce the following:

The Family Warfields are tasked with the defence of our Southern borders and as

such are granted the lands stretching from south of Peldwyn in the West to the top

of the Iron Back Mountains in the East. You have been granted the City of

New Corphedeli as your family seat and The Head of your family, Earl Garrick

Warfields has been granted the title of Duke.

The Family Maddocks are tasked with the defence of our coasts and as such are

granted the coastal lands stretching from Peldwyn in the south along the west and

north coast to the lands that border with the district of Baeggwyn. You have been

granted the City of Maedyll as your family seat and The Head of your family,

Earl Walter Maddock has been granted the title of Duke.

The Family Drummonds are tasked with the defence of our Northern most borders

and our borders with Imlyssid and as such are granted the North lands of Horgreth

above the Ryn Nemrath. You have been granted the City of New Regis as your family

seat and The Head of your family, Earl Fergus Drummond has been granted the

 title of Duke.

The Family Grimstones are tasked with the improvements of food and resources

north of the Kings Isle and as such have been granted the lands south of

Ryn Nemrath down to the Ryn CArroch. You have been granted the City of Horgreth

as your family seat and The Head of your family, Earl Geo Grimstone been granted

 the title of Duke.

The Family Sedrins are tasked with bringing stability and order to the

Chamweaddean central lands. You have been granted the City of Lyngoch as your

family seat and The Head of your family, Earl Deeber Sedrin has been granted the

 title of Duke.

The city of Baeggwyn and the Kings Isle will remain under the control of the Crown.

History links monarchs and the nobility, a connecting thread from one period to

the next. So, in an era when the regular, worthy rhythm of life is less

eye-catching than doing something extraordinary, I am reassured that I have

such loyal persons who will use their skills and talents to bring prosperity to Tyr Nuedd.

King Brynn and I will be visiting towns and cities up and down the land. It is my

sincere hope that this will be an opportunity for people to come together in a

spirit of neighbourliness and celebration of their own communities. King Brynn is

already in contact with our old allies working on righting the wrongs brought about

 by the traitor Justin Breggan.

We also hope to celebrate the professional and voluntary service given by a

dventurers across the country, who are working for the public good. They are a

source of vital support to the welfare and wellbeing of others, often unseen or

 overlooked.

And as we reflect upon public service adventurers provide, let us again be mindful

of the remarkable sacrifice and courage of our Military and Navy. Much may indeed

have changed since the death of the Kings father, King Gefyn, twelve years ago

but the valour of those who risk their lives for the defence and freedom of us all

 remains undimmed.

We are reminded here of our past, of the continuity of our national story and the

virtues of resilience, resourcefulness and tolerance which created it. I have been

privileged to witness some of that history and dedicate myself and my husband

to the service of our great country and its people now and in the years to follow.

Together. United. We WILL rebuild our country to its former glory and restore the

peace and prosperity of our people.

 Please enjoy your evening
