OME-TE LLEST aka: The Great One, Odomankoma, The Truth Song

Status:  The One

Level:  Infinite

Avatar:  NONE

Ome-te Llest can assume any form that he desires. He is all-powerful, the creator of all. He, although ‘he’ is a bad description as he is sexless, prefers to manifest itself in the form of abstract objects such as a shaft of pure light, in the most beautiful of songs, the glint of a flawless diamond, the eye of the storm, etc.

“Ome-te Llest is in the soul of all,

   And all make his soul.”

In the beginning there was Ome Te (Elvish- The One) it was he who made the Elder Gods that were the offspring of his thought, and they were with him before all else was created. Ome Te spoke unto them profounding to them the themes of music that were to become the Truth song; and they stood before him, and he was glad. But for a long while they sang only each alone or but a few together while the rest listened. Each of these young creations only comprehended part of Ome Te’s wishes but as they sang they began to comprehend and understand, and their unison and harmony grew.

At last it came to be that Ome Te called them all together and declared unto them a mighty theme, unfolding to them things greater and more wonderful than he had yet revealed; and the glory of its beginning and the splendour of its end. Amazed his creations bowed before him and were silent.

Then Ome Te said unto them ‘ Of the theme that I have shown unto you, I now command you to sing my Truth song and since I have kindled the flame unperishable within you ye shalt make your own wishes be apparent by adorning this theme. I will sit and hearken, and be glad that through your Song beauty will be awakened.’

Then the gods sung like countless singing choirs, beginning to fashion the theme of Ome Te with endless interchanging melodies woven in harmony that pass beyond our description. Thus it was that the void was not the void any more but filled to over flowing, and the echo of the music went flowing into Ae and filled it with strange places and conceptions.

Ome Te was pleased and sat and listened but there was one who had his own imaginings as to how Ome Te’s theme should be and thus Nayme sought to change the theme to his own accord by sewing dissension and chaos. The Gods tried to stop Nayme’s ripples of chaos and were successful at first. But eventually Nayme’s ripples became waves, then torrents of chaos that perverted all the music that was around.

Ome Te sat back until it seemed that about his throne there was a raging storm, as the dark waters that made war one upon another in an endless wrath that would not be assuaged. The Ome Te rose and smiled, he lifted his hand and a new theme began amid the storm, like and yet unlike to the former theme, and it gathered power and had a new beauty. But the discord of Nayme rose in uproar and contended with it, and again a war of sound ensued. In the midst of this strife the halls of Ome Te shook and a tremor ran out into the silences yet unmoved. The Ome Te raised up both hands and in one chord, deeper than the Abyss, Higher than Firmament as piercing as the light in the eye of Ome Te the Music ceased.

The Ome Te spoke ‘Mighty are my creations and mightiest amoungst them is Nayme, but be it known that I am the master and all shalt harken and obey me, Nayme I command thee leave my court for the depths of the void and there let your music harm no more. My children that remain here I give thee govenorship of Eä and ask you to look after it while I watch from afar. Nayme know that you shalt not see my theme and your banishment shalt stop thy corruption happening again.’

So it was that Ome-te Llest gave birth to the Elder Gods, the offspring of his mind they were the products of his song of truth. To these beings he assigned a great purpose. With the great Gods songs Ome-te Llest wove the heavens and ‘Se’ the sun, ‘Eä’ the earth and Ae the unknown or parallel worlds. He bid his children to hold Eä in perfect balance for his youngest of children who were mortal and knew the wonders of death.
